Free Blog #4

Well I took my first college test today. I must say it was not as difficult as I had expected it to be, even though it was open book and notes. Psychology is probably one of my favorite classes. I took it my junior year of High School and really enjoyed it. It makes me want to go into a profession related to psychology eventually after I earn my Office Administration degree. I would also like to minor in Spanish which was another one of my favorite classes in High School I took four years of spanish and I may not be able to speak fluent spanish but I am getting close. I have been taking online classes for it.

Required Blog #4

When I was a little girl, I lived in Virginia Beach, Virginia with my parents. I can still remember going to the beach almost every weekend. I thought it was such a big deal even though I was only five years old. I can still remember parking the car unloading the chairs, shovels, pails and towels and having to carry them all the way to the sand. My dad would have to carry me to the water when we would first arrive because the sand would be so hot. When my parents would take me to the ocean, which I may add, was only ten minutes from our house. Mom and I unfortunately do not live in Virginia anymore.  I can still smell the salty air and hear the waves crashing at the beach, which brings back so many memories. My family and I would always walk up and down the beach collecting seashells and watching the seagulls fly overhead. I still visit the beach every summer and spring break when I go to visit my dad’s house and it always brings back those early childhood memories that I wish I could have back.

Friday Night Football :)

I absolutely love Friday Night Football. Every Friday I go and watch my boyfriends team play, the Tinora Rams. Tailgating is a fun essential in football, My family and boyfriends family tend to play corn hole or listen to music and grill out before the game. Also I love sitting in the bleachers watching the anticipation of the offense and defense and cheering them on. Another good thing about football is the concession stand. It seems to always be the best food! I love getting popcorn or candy, maybe sometimes pizza instead. My boyfriend plays linebacker and safety, I don't exactly know all the positions but I comprehend most. So far The Rams are 4-0 going on to play Fairview this Friday at Tinora.

Northwest State

People choose colleges for many reasons. They look at how far away the school is, is it a big campus or small campus, big city or small town. The reasons I chose Northwest was because I wanted to go to a small community college to get my basics out of the way before moving on to a bigger college. Also because I want to still be close to home to my family and friends. Office Administration is the major I am considering, I have heard Northwest has very good courses for this major.

Free Blog #2 Cheerleading

I have come to realize the one thing I dislike about college is the lack of sports. I loved cheering in high school. Especially at Friday night football games. Cheerleading was one of my favorite memories of High School, my Sophmore year our competition squad went all the way to nationals in Indianapolis, Indiana. It was a two day competition over a long weekend. Competing was always such an adrenaline rush. Especially before you went on the floor and when you were sitting with all the other squads awaiting what you placed. That competition we earned National Champions as well as Most Entertaining and we even recieved a large banner that hangs in our gymnasium at Defiance High School.

JAIL ?

Waking up I see women that I have never seen What is this place? Jail? I pace the room questioning how I got here and where my boyfriend is? I reach in my pocket hoping there is something in there that will link back to the night before and how I ended up in jail on what I thought was a weekend get away to Las Vegas. The first thing I pull out is a quarter from which I remember playing the slot machines in the casino down in theat t he hotel. But I question how playing slot machines can make you end up in a jail cell. The next thing is my phone with six missed calls from my boyfriend. Unfortunately as soon as I go to listen to the voicemails he has left me my phone dies. Thirdly i find a slip from the bellagio from when i must have cashed in my chips worth three hundred thousand dollars? Three hundred thousand. I did not win that much from just quarter slots. Then i pull out a hotel room key for the Bellagio, which I had not been staying at I thought to myself. I was staying at Caesars Palace. Finally I pulled out a large very expensive diamond. I do not remember getting this. The officer then came to me and said that they had watched the survillence videos and told me I had been framed for a robbery and someone had slipped the reciept for the three thousand dollars and the diamond in my pocket while I was playing the quarter slots. Luckily I was free to go when proven innocent.

Free Blogging

Well I have just started college at Northwest State Community College this fall. It suprisingly is different than what I had first expected it to be. For starters it was nothing like the first day of high school where you see all the people you hadn't seen all summer, here it was all new faces maybe some that I had seen before at registration or maybe a few from other schools i knew. Currently I am taking a Math course, Psychology and Composition 1. I hope to further my education at a bigger school but for now I am getting all my basic classes. Office Administration is what I would like to gain from college and what I would like to do in the future.
